Ruian Zhongke Packaging Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in 2002.

From 2002 to 2004, the new Fully Automatic Top and Bottom Type Rigid Box Machine was independently developed by a Team led by the CEO. It was launched on the market as a new pilot product in Zhejiang Province and was awarded with “Scientific and Technological Achievements Appraisal”, Wenzhou City Science and Technology Planning Department’s “Leading Domestic Project” and “Ruian City Science and Technology Planning Project” awards.

From 2005 to 2006, it won the title of “National Key New Product”. Third Prize of “Wenzhou Science and Technology Progress” Award. At Ruian City the company has made scientific and technological progress and won the title of “Ruian City Patent Demonstration Enterprise” and won The First Prize of “Scientific and Technological Progress” Award.

In 2007, the factory moved to Jinjiabao District, Feiyun Town, Ruian City, covering an area of 2,000㎡. Awarded with “Advanced Enterprise in Applied Sciences” reward in Ruian City.

In 2008, Zhongke participated in large-scale exhibitions; DRUPA 2008, All in Print Shanghai 2008, and China Print 2009.

From 2009 to 2010, the factory moved to Yunjiang, Ruian City. The standard factory building (machinery area) covering an area of 12,600㎡. Won the awards of “Patent Demonstration Enterprise” in Wenzhou City and the “Advanced Enterprise in Science and Technology” in Ruian City.

In 2011, after continuous research and development, ZK-320 Automatic Rigid Box Making Machine for small to medium sized products was launched to market.

In 2012, Zhongke participated in DRUPA 2012 and All in Print Shanghai 2012 Exhibitions to demonstarate our leading position in the field of Fully Automatic Box Making Machinery.

In 2013, Zhongke continued to expand its factory and moved to Wanquan Light Industry Base in Pingyang County, covering an area of 46,688 ㎡. After the factory was renovated and upgraded, it now has the latest technology high-precision manufacturing equipment.

From 2014 to 2015, Zhongke invested more manpower, material and financial resources to transform the company, and realized Zhongke's ambition to win the title of “Pingyang County Science and Technology R&D Center”.

In 2016, “Zhongke Technology R&D Center” was established to continue innovation. In 2017, ZK-760 Fully Automatic Box Folding Machine was successfully developed and launched on the market, along with ZK-660FC Fully Automatic Rigid Box Machine and other series.

In 2018, a total investment of 110 million Yuan was made to acquire an additional industrial plant, covering an area of 38,666m2 and a construction area of 46,000㎡.

In 2022, the company established a provincial-level enterprise research institute and a provincial-level high-tech R&D center; collaborated with universities to master core technologies in micron-level positioning and multi-axis coordinated motion; initiated the development of flexible, intelligent integrated production lines to replace standalone automation equipment, specifically creating customized, multi-variety box-making solutions for the 3C and pharmaceutical industries; and set up a wholly-owned subsidiary for molded fiber packaging, simultaneously expanding into the eco-friendly packaging equipment sector to offer customers options for environmentally friendly, intelligent manufacturing equipment.

The company has achieved a comprehensive upgrade from standalone automation to flexible, intelligent integrated production lines, with AI vision and multi-servo coordination technologies reaching maturity for mass production. Its proprietary ZK-6421 high-end smartphone box-making machine was recognized as a "First Set" (pioneering) equipment in Zhejiang Province; the product holds the top market share in China, is exported to over 60 countries worldwide, and continues to expand its domestic and international customer base.

The dual-mode lamination, forming, and nesting production line has once again secured Zhejiang Province’s "First Set/Suite" certification; it achieves a positioning accuracy of ±0.05mm and boosts production efficiency by 2.3 times compared to traditional equipment. Backed by 17 core invention patents and a leading role in drafting multiple industry standards, the equipment is priced at just 60%–70% of imported alternatives and offers a 50% shorter delivery lead time. It delivers high cost-performance, enabling the domestic substitution of high-end packaging machinery and significantly reducing procurement and operational costs for customers.

By 2025, the product portfolio had evolved into a comprehensive, digitized solution covering the entire industry chain, with an IoT-based remote diagnostics and maintenance system included as standard across the entire range, enabling customers to monitor equipment in real time and proactively anticipate faults. Despite an industry downturn, the company achieved counter-cyclical growth in domestic market share and firmly established itself among the global leaders in high-end box-making equipment; meanwhile, it continued to expand its product line of eco-friendly paper-and-plastic machinery, providing a one-stop solution to meet customers' needs for green, low-carbon production.

Construction will commence in 2026 on a "future-ready" smart factory capable of producing 450 flexible box-making units annually; the facility will feature an end-to-end IoT-driven digital management system to significantly boost equipment delivery capacity. The company will deepen its presence in the high-end gift box sectors for 3C electronics and pharmaceuticals by iteratively upgrading flexible forming equipment, mastering core processes for irregular, multi-layer, and specialty gift boxes, and continuously enhancing capabilities in rapid mold changing and micron-level visual inspection. Furthermore, the company will establish overseas service networks and refine its global after-sales and delivery systems to provide leading global packaging enterprises with highly adaptable, efficient, and integrated smart packaging solutions.
